Useful Mac Apps
I figured I’d share some useful apps that you can use for free on Mac, so here they are:
BlockBlock - Kind of like a firewall for protecting your startup apps and daemons.
Cyberduck - A FTP, SFTP, etc client.
DisplayLink Manager - Lets you use DisplayLink on a Mac, which some USB hubs use for their video ports.
Do Not Disturb - A tool that monitors for evil maid attacks.
Firefox - You know what it is. Load it up with a ton of privacy add-ons and it’s the best browser you can get.
Kegworks - A GUI to create wrapper apps that call Windows apps with Wine.
iTerm2 - A better terminal, which I use with OhMyZSH to have better integration with GIT.
Latest - Update your Mac apps!
LuLu - A simple and effective firewall.
Oversight - Alerts you if you webcam or mic get activated by an app.
ReiKey - Monitors for keyloggers.
The Unarchiver - Lets you decompress many filetypes MacOS doesn’t support, like .rar files.
